In the last month, I have delivered at least 3 workshops and multiple coaching sessions that are focused on becoming more effective leaders and healthier organizations. These leaders are feeling the pain of broken trust, opposing priorities, high turnover of high performers, serious unresolved conflicts between leaders, and missed targets that are key to the organization’s success. They know that having a healthy leadership team influences so many facets of an organization, leading to a positive impact on performance, culture, employee retention, and innovation.
Some of the critical areas an organization experiences return on leadership development investment (ROI) are:
· Improved Organizational Performance - Leaders who communicate effectively, make strategic decisions collaboratively, and motivate their teams achieve better organizational results.
· Enhanced Employee Engagement & Satisfaction - Engaged employees are more productive, take fewer sick days, and contribute positively to organizational goals.
· Reduced Turnover Costs - The cost of replacing an employee can be substantial, typically ranging from one-half to 2X the employee's annual salary, considering the costs of recruitment, training, and the time it takes for a new hire to reach full productivity.
·Increased Innovation - Leadership teams that promote a culture of openness and curiosity are likely to drive innovation.
· Stronger Brand & Reputation – Operating ethically and responsibly attracts top talent and retains customers and clients who prefer to do business with ethically sound organizations.
· Enhanced Adaptability - A healthy leadership team’s ability to adapt quickly prevents losses associated with rigidity in the face of needed change.
While the specific ROI of healthy leadership teams can vary by organization and industry, the benefits they bring are generally wide-reaching and significant, affecting nearly every aspect of an organization's performance and health.
If you are feeling the pain of a leadership team in conflict, missing priorities, leading in silos, or missing the bottom line, let’s talk.
