Sondra Calhoun

Founder

Sondra’s journey in developing leaders started on a ranch north of Dallas where she served as the program manager for Brinker International's experiential learning program.  Along with new leaders at Brinker, Sondra worked with a myriad of Fortune 500 companies who wanted to utilize experiential learning to equip their leaders with the key skills of effective communication, healthy conflict, grit building, and team dynamics.  It was there that she developed the ability to ‘coach and challenge in the moment’. 
In her time with T-Mobile, Sondra served in a variety of roles from training to leadership development, and ultimately leading 500 employees at a technical care call center where she learned effective leadership through both great success and hard failure.  During Sondra’s time there she found the power of coaching through training and certification with the International Coaching Federation. She saw firsthand how effective coaching is at supporting growth mindsets and performance success.  Later, as an executive member of a medium-sized SAAS company, the importance of strategic planning, implementing a ‘First Team’ mindset in the Leadership Team, and leading with conviction and passion became very real and a priority for her.  
At Strada Consulting, Sondra is calling upon her wealth of experience in leadership and serving as a coach for over 20 years to get real with leaders and their teams, challenge them directly, serve as a confidant and compassionate partner, while helping them find their unique way through the complexities of great leadership.  When Sondra is not working, her love for the outdoors has found her hiking mountains in Scotland, cross country skiing in Australia, and climbing ancient ruins (legally) in Belize.
